Hello again and welcome to my new followers and readers. It's great to have you join in. Thanks to you all for your lovely comments on my recent posts; I really love reading them. This post is a bit different from any I've done before so I hope you enjoy it.
Claire has opened a beautiful new shop in Ballynahinch, right on Main Street, called Brown Sugar. Everything she stocks is hand made locally and really beautiful.
I'll just let you see what it's like and, if at all possible, you might go and see it in person.
I really enjoyed browsing round and Claire is very friendly and helpful. (I'm not getting paid to do this, by the way! I don't get paid to do any posts!!)
That's it for this time. I'm crocheting, knitting and sewing like a mad woman to make Christmas gifts and decorations. Hopefully I'll get some photos soon to let you see what I've been up to. Bye!
What a great store! I would love to browse in it, and I'm sure I'd find lots of things to bring home. Maybe next time I'm in Ireland!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful little shop. I wish I could stroll around there. It is important for local crafters to have a plattform to present the things they made and to keep the different crafts alive. Here in Germany you can only find something like that at special craftmarkets.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Birgit
What a beautiful shop, I'm a big fan of locally produced things. Good luck to Claire.
ReplyDeleteLooks so nice and cozy little shop full of handmade products!
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog --- just found it a week or two ago. Thank you for sharing such wonderful places and things to do!

ReplyDeleteOh my, what a fantastic shop. I love her displays, I bet you could spend a lot of time and maybe a bit of money there. I love shops that support and promote local artists and crafters. Beautiful stain glass in the door too.i hope she is quite successful!
ReplyDeleteHi Gillian! There should be more shops like this, it looks lovely!

ReplyDeleteLovely - my sister works in Ballynahinch a few days a week so I'm sure she'll be checking it out. It looks like a good place for Chrismas presents.
