Unfortunately I don't know the names of most of our roses but I happened to notice the label on the one climbing up the pergola. It is called Compassion. It also has a lovely true-rose scent.
The day we bought the Joie de Vivre rose we also bought a few more geraniums and planted them round the glauca. They look a bit lost there but they'll soon grow and spread out.
Since there are some more flowers starting to bloom around the garden, I might as well show you some photos of them too.
This lily is about the same height as me!
And I mustn't forget the wild flowers as they are really doing well now.
This dahlia is just starting to flower - I love dahlias of all sizes and colours.
There's been a slug at work there, I'd say!!
Hope you enjoyed some more flower photos. Might as well make the most of them while I can.
You have such a gorgeous garden. That first rose reminds me a bit of a peony, it's very pretty.
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right - that's exactly what it is like.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I smell a rose I think it must be the best scent ever! Yours look like they're doing really well. Lovely to find your blog and I look forward to catching up with some of your other posts. Pleased to meet you x Jane
